Themes play a more important part of the look of PowerPoint files. So, if your document is mostly text, you don't notice the theme all that much. Themes are mostly applied to graphical elements, but they also include styles. The other part of the "look" of Office documents is the "theme" used. Then you have to customize those style to apply your "look" to them. There is a bit if a problem if the original author used style names that you did not. As long as your styles have the same name as those used in the document, your look will replace the original look. You can use the "Organizer" to import your standard styles into existing documents. They define the look of text: font set, character size, line and paragraph spacing etc. There are 2 features in Word / Office that contain much of your "look": The question is, will they look like your documents.
