Francisque Poulbot (1879- 1946) was a French poster designer, draftsman and illustrator, he was famous for his drawings representing kids of Montmartre (the « poulbots »). It has been sung by many artists, including Mick Micheyl, Yves Montand, Francis Lemarque and Patachou. Here is my version of "Un Gamin de Paris", a 1951 song (lyrics by Mick Micheyl, music by Adrian Mar. I used the pretty version played on the accordion by my Czech friend Miroslav Jiravský You will also recognize in the video many drawings by Michel Thomas, a famous Parisian draftsman who followed in the footsteps of Francisque Poulbot and Germaine Bouret he drew Parisian « titis » (kids) and illustrated hundreds of postcards from the late 60's onwards.
